Ordained Deacon

Previous Business owner with over twenty years experience in sales and marketing.

Elected to Board of Selectmen - March 2007 for a three year term

Since elected, accomplishments included but not limited to:

Instrumental in making public video records of Boards and Committees.

Worked to re-established Fryeburg's relationship with Valley Vision.  Thus, bringing the meetings to the public on Channel Three -Local Access Channel and making copies available at the local Public Library and Town Office in an effort to make town government proceedings transparent and available to the townspeople.

Researched and brought information to the Board concerning the use of a Secret Ballot (hybrid format) style Town Meeting which has been successful in Maine towns (including Fryeburg) at increasing voter participation.

Working to establish a new, more informative and up to date website for Fryeburg.

Continually working to serve the needs of the majority in Fryeburg.

There are many policies regarding our current form of government which need to be established in detail by public hearings and input from the people of Fryeburg, the Legislative Body...not formulated by individuals and then positioned to diminish or divide the Board of Selectmen and thus, the will of the Legislative Body.

The Boards, Committees and town employees are obligated to obey all town, state and federal laws and policies without exception, conflict of interest or perception of bias.  Also, we must bring as much public information as possible to those we serve, in order to be guided by a well informed majority...  without favoritism to friends, family, employers or special interest groups.  I feel strongly that a clear ethics policy, or ordinance, should be enacted in Fryeburg.  The Selectmen need to work together harmoniously as a Board, for the good of all, without undue influence.
