Recreation Department

The Fryeburg Rec. Committee is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide opportunities for residents of Fryeburg and surrounding towns to participate in recreational activities. These opportunities come from fundraising activities of the Committee. Since it's formation in 1988 the Rec. Committee has raised all the money to purchase the 20-acre "Field of Dreams", and with the help of the Maine Army National Guard turned it into a wonderful Community Recreation Complex. This facility is the envy of many towns. Continued fundraising of the committee provides upgrades and maintenance to the Community Complex. The committee also provides for all the equipment, uniforms and all other expenses that support recreational activities for the Rec. Department.
