Transfer

- Don Davidson Transfer Station Guide Plastic, newspaper and magazines, flat card board and mixed paper, cardboard boxes and brown paper bags, glass bottles and jars, aluminum (cans, foil, plates), scrap steel, car batteries, waste motor oil, antifreeze, organic garden material (no pet manure or food scraps)
All plastic bottles, glass containers and tin cans should
be rinsed before they are brought to the transfer station. No waxed boxes
will be accepted for recycling. Please flatten cardboard.
Almost
all paper products except waxed paper and items with food contamination
can be mixed. This includes poster board, soda and beer cartons, pizza
boxes, egg cartons and junk mail. No separation is required. Newspapers
can now be mixed with magazines, glossy paper inserts, phone books and
books with covers removed. Corrugated cardboard (non waxed) can be mixed
with brown paper bags and manila envelopes.
Leaves
and other yard waste including pine spills, grass clippings and tree branches
are not permitted with household waste.
