The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for:
- Administering and enforcing the Town of Fryeburg Land Use Ordinance , including the Shoreland Zone and Floodplain Management Ordinances.
- Issuing building permits and plumbing permits (both internal and external) and conducting inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Following up on citizen complaints.
- Providing research and technical support to the Planning Board and Board of Appeals.
- Working in conjunction with the Local Health Officer to remedy land use violations which may affect the health of the citizens of the Town.
- Assigning addresses to properties in accordance with the Enhanced 911 Addressing system.
- Issuing permits for overweight vehicles on posted roads.
