FRYEBURG BOARD OF APPEALS
Draft Minutes- January 26, 2010

Members Present:

Meeting called to order at 6:30pm . Review of minutes. Motion to accept made by Milia. Motion seconded and unanimous approval.

Milia asks if Gene Berube (present) has notified neighbors by certified mail. Berube produces certificates and gives to board for review.

Fourteen letters sent, thirteen received.

Milia asks what the purpose of building's construction is given that it is in violation of local ordinances. Berube replies that he didn't know the law. He added that after he lost his job, he needed to store his machinery (it used to be stored at his place of employment). He further explains that most of his neighbors are not around so the shed is not an issue for anyone.

Milia asks if he could move the structure. Berube replies that it is unlikely.

Huemmler asks if abutters on 55 Fair Street are renters and notes that they don't object to the shed.

Milia asks Berube to be sure in the future that he observe local ordinances.

Milia makes motion to approve variance. Unanimous approval.

Huemmler remarks that it is the board's job to help with individuals in unusual circumstances and notes that the lot is a difficult to work with.

Motion of adjourn at 6:41 . Unanimous approval
