PLANNING BOARD WORKSHOP
OCTOBER 18, 2005, RESCUE STATION

7:00 PM Board members present C. Doughty, P. Hill, G. Bergoffen, C. Gregory, and T. Raymond. Alternates present H. Warren.

Participants present: D. Knapp(selectman by email sent) Peter Garrett, Emery & Garrett Groundwater, representatives of Poland Spring, representatives of WE Corp and numerous residents and a few non-residents.

Peter Garrett, a Certified Maine Geologist, who specializes in Hydogeology, provided an overview of the “Wards Brook Aquifer” study performed by his company.

Charlie Fitz, a Certified Maine Engineer and a representative of WE Corp( during WE Corp’s water extraction application) shared visuals that demonstrated the different anticipated affect of pumping the aquifer by FWC alone, FWC & PMS together and FWC & PMS & WE Corp, together.

G Bergoffen reviewed an outline of the ordinance draft under discussion.

The workshop ended with a discussion of elements of the proposed ordinance. The board anticipates working on the ordinance at the regular meeting on 10/25/05. Additional comments were requested in writing prior to the meeting.
