TOWN OF FRYEBURG
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
March 3, 2005

Attendees: Ed Wilkey, James Dutton, Phil Covelli-Town Manager

Mr. Wilkey called the meeting to order at 7:00pm

Minutes:

The minutes of February 17, 2004 were reviewed. Mr. Dutton moved to approve the minutes as submitted. Mr. Wilkey seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

Public Forum:

Chief Brooking announced that the Police Department would hold a “Career Night” on March 21, 2005 at the Fryeburg Police Department.

Barbara Gushee, Registrar of Voters, recommended that at this year’s Town Meeting, registered voters be checked in to vote before the start of the meeting. There was discussion regarding how this would be accomplished and how many people would be needed to check in voters. Barbara stated that Bobbie Muse and one other person had already volunteered. The Selectmen were in agreement that once it was determined who was eligible to vote, it would be a good idea to check in voters prior to the start of the meeting. After discussion, Mr. Dutton moved that voters be checked in prior to participating in Town Meeting. Mr. Wilkey seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

There was further discussion regarding having written ballots available for any Articles that may be voted on by secret ballot. Fire Chief Ozzie Sheaff volunteered to contact an acquaintance of his and see if he could supply the ballots for free.

Members of the Board reviewed and signed disbursement warrants.

Having no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
