SELECTMEN’S
MEETING Attendees: Harry True, Allan Trumbull, Ed Wilkey, June Irvine Mr. True opened the meeting at 7:00pm. Public forum was first on the agenda. Mr. True announced that the Saco River Task Force was looking into a truck that will be used to haul the airboat. Next was the public hearing on the new Building Permit Fees. It opened at 7:04pm. There was no discussion from the audience. Mr. Wilkey made a motion to accept the new proposed schedule for building permits. Allan Trumbull seconded and motion passed 3-0. Public hearing ended at 7:05pm. The Selectmen signed the weapons permits and a pole permit. Ms. Jolene Barker came in to talk to the town about snow removal in front of her home and business. She asked the town to remove the snow but they declined due to the curbing on the edge of the road. It is a state road and Ms. Barker was asked if she had talked to the state DOT. The Selectmen asked Mr. Whitten, Public Works Director, if he would talk to the state about the situation. Mr. True asked that we call Ms. Barker and let her know the outcome of his conversation with the state. The Selectmen are asked to review a Pine Tree Zone distributed by Southern Maine Regional Planning Commission. The Board will try to get a representative from SMRPC to come and review the application with them. Mr. Trumbull made a motion to set the Municipal Elections date as March 19th and Town Meeting will be on March 20th. Mr. Wilkey seconded and motion passed. Mr. Krasker would like to distribute Infrastructure Committee information at the elections. The Town will have to look at state laws to see the appropriate way to do this. There was discussion as to finding another site to hold elections. Mr. Trumbull moved to approve the minutes of December 11th and 19th as written. Ed Wilkey seconded and motion passed 3-0. Mr. Trumbull made a motion to enter executive session at 7:43pm. Executive session ended at 7:49pm. Mr. Trumbull made a motion to hire Mr. Ian Tait as full time police officer as requested by the acting chief. Mr. Wilkey seconded and the motion passed. Mr. Trumbull made a motion to adjourn at 7:50pm. Motion was seconded and passed 3-0. Respectfully submitted,
