BOARD OF SELECTMEN
January 27, 2003

9:30 a.m.

ATTENDEES: Diane Gushee, Harry True, Allan Trumbull, June Irvine

June presented a letter from North Conway Incinerator complaining about the treatment of the staff’s handing of NCI containers. The BOS felt that the Town needs to get along with NCI and should keep the containers in good condition. The BOS also said they would like the area underneath the containers to be cleaned out each time a container is pulled. The Board wondered if “car wash” tracks could be installed to facilitate moving the containers.

At 10:00 a grievance hearing was held. Attorney Buzz Pratt, Paul Reynolds, Attorney Brian Densch were present for this hearing.

It was moved to convene an executive session pursuant to 1 MRSA 40 (6A) to consider a personnel matter, i.e. a grievance hearing.

When the Board of Selectmen came out of Executive Session Allan Trumbull moved to uphold the written reprimand of November 12, 2002 and to deny the grievance. The Board instructed counsel and the Administrative Assistant to collaborate on the creation of a final written decision for public record.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

June Irvine
Administrative Assistant
