BOARD OF SELECTMEN ATTENDEES: Harry True, Allan Trumbull, June Irvine The Board approved allowing Bob Burnell to use the Town's video equipment during the week of the Fryeburg Fair. (2-0) A Beano License for Capitol Wheels was approved (2-0) and signed. Harry True introduced Derrick Mack as the new full time Police Officer. Michael McAllister and Wayne Brooking were appointed to the position of Sergeant in a brief ceremony. Badges and certificates were given to both officers. June presented the warrant for Special Town Meeting on September 9th at 7:00 p.m. The Board voted to delete an article asking to raise money for the installation of a new Waste Oil Burner at the Transfer station and approved taking funds raised at the March Town Meeting to build an oil containment area for this purchase (2-0). The warrant was approved as presented after the deletion of the above article. The BOS approved and signed a request for a property tax abatement for Tax Map 13, Lot 50. The Board voted 2-0 to allow the addition of a paragraph from a letter June had written to the State Auditor to the Auditor's final report. The Board discussed a letter from Hannah Warren urging people to attend a Downtown Revitalization Conference on September 25, 2002. The Board asked June to make copies of the information about the conference available at the Town Office. The Minutes were approved and the Warrant was signed.
