BOARD OF SELECTMEN
August 13, 2002
2:00 P.M.
ATTENDEES: Diane Gushee, Harry True, Allan Trumbull, June Irvine, Buzz Pratt

It was moved and seconded to go into Executive Session to confer with counsel regarding the rights, duties and obligations of the Board of Selectmen regarding pending legal issues. When the Board came out of Executive Session it was voted (3-0) to hold a Special Town Meeting on September 9, 2002 at the Fire Station to raise funds to cover unanticipated legal expenses, code enforcement salary and upgrading of the waste oil burning furnace at the Transfer Station.

It was again moved and seconded to go into Executive Session to discuss the filling of the Sergeant's position on the Police Department. When the Board came out of Executive Session it voted (3-0) to promote both Officer McAllister and Officer Brooking to the rank of Sergeant and to give them both a $.75/hour salary increase upon their appointment.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:15 p.m.
