BOARD OF SELECTMEN ATTENDEES: Diane Gushee, Allan Trumbull, June Irvine An agreement between CMP, Northland Telephone and the Town regarding attachments to utility polls was signed Rick Eastman, representing Porter Rd. businesses, asked how the land swap stands. Allan said that Pure Mountain Springs has until August 15th. Rick said he wants to be able to expand his business and will be putting in his own wells. Allan told him that he would keep him apprised of any developments regarding this issue. The BOS asked June to respond to the report by the Department of Audit with agreements to all issues except for the providing of cash drawers for all office employees. They felt this would be too cumbersome. They asked June to work to implement the rest of the suggestions. (2-0) June presented a quote from Orino for a waste oil heater with a rebuilt burner. The BOS agreed they would not support the purchase of rebuilt equipment. They asked June to check with Don to see if he has investigated insulating the valves. The BOS approved an hourly wage for Derrick Mack of $11.00 per hour, which will increase to $11.50 once he has completed the Police Academy. The Board decided to meet on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss the Sergeant promotion and to meet with counsel to discuss the rights, duties and obligations of the Board of Selectmen. Diane asked June to check on what the Parks Committee was doing regarding a fee system next year at Canal Bridge. Wayne Brooking said the AMC was charging everybody to park at Swans Falls whether they were residents or not. Allan asked June to check on whether AMC was tax exempt or not. The minutes were
approved and the Warrant was signed. The meeting was adjourned at 7:45. June Irvine |
