BOARD OF SELECTMEN
JUNE 5, 2002
4:00 P.M

ATTENDEES: Diane Gushee, Harry True, Allan Trumbull, June Irvine, Buzz Pratt

Allan Trumbull moved, pursuant to 1 MRSA 405 6(E) and 6(F), that the Board convene an executive session to consult with counsel on:

1. The Rights and duties of the board, and

2. The information in certain records, public access to which is prohibited by statute,

as part of the investigation by the Board into a pending Police Department disciplinary matter. (3-0) The Board excused June from this session.

After the Board of Selectmen came out of Executive session the members stated that after reviewing the items the Administrative Assistant and Town Counsel had assembled for their review they had determined that part of the employee's personnel file contents were not included.

They instructed the Administrative Assistant to see to making these items available for their review.

They then moved to go back into another Executive Session, pursuant to 1 MRSA 405,
to discuss the Administrative Assistant's recommendation to terminate a Town employee (Transfer Station). (3-0) When the Board came out of Executive Session it instructed the Administrative Assistant to notify the employee it was extending the 72 hour suspension implemented by the Administrative Assistant pending a review of the issue at its next regularly scheduled meeting on June 13, 2002 at 7:00 p.m.
